Charles O. Grigbsy, Jr., received a B.S. (1941) in Dairy Industries from Iowa State College (University). After graduation, Grigsby served in the U.S. Navy (1942-1946), and then for Kraft Foods (1946-1952) as a bacteriologist in the cheese making division. After leaving Kraft, Grigsby sarted his own cheese company. the Lorraine Cheese Company (1953-1985).
